Headin' For Home 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

Thursday, July 4, 2019

The Team Jack Foundation is honored to be one of the beneficiaries of the Headin' for Home 5k and Fun Run scheduled for July 4, 2019 in Newton, Kansas. This is a USATF Certified course starting and finishing in Centennial Park with the finish line crossing "Home Plate". The 5k features chip timing and travels through the campus of Bethel College.

Not near Newton, Kansas? No problem! This year's event has a virtual option that is new in 2019! You can run or walk wherever you are and proceeds will benefit the Team Jack Foundation and the Newton American Legion Baseball teams. All virtual participants will receive a t-shirt.

In addition to the 5k race, there is also a 1 mile fun run, designed for children and families! The one-mile race starts and finishes in the same place as the 5k and all participants will receive a t-shirt, if registered prior to June 26th.

Not a runner or a walker, but still want to contribute? Make a donation to Team Jack by clicking the 'donate' button below.

While the Team Jack Foundation's mission is to raise research funds and awareness for pediatric brain cancer, the Foundation has also formed an important network for families affected by the disease call the Team Jack Family. Newton, Kansas is the hometown of Team Jack Family member Joe Bisterfeldt and his family. Joe was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013 and although his tumor is considered stable, he continues to struggle with seizure control.
