Huskers Help Raise Money In Fight Against Pediatric Cancer

Members of the Husker football team helped battle pediatric brain cancer Sunday morning in the Uplifting Athletes Run in Lincoln that raised $30,000.

With two runs, one for children and another for adults, the players, including Tommy Armstrong Jr., Kenny Bell, Imani Cross and Quincy Enunwa, needed a lot of energy. They lined up high-fiving and cheering for every runner who crossed the finish line.

Jack Hoffman was there from Team Jack, another organization working to raise money and awareness about brain cancer. "I think Jack is an awesome guy and he's showing a lot of courage and that courage leaks onto our football team and this community," said Cross.
