Larry the Cable Guy & Jeff Foxworthy Raise Money for Pediatric Brain Cancer

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Foxworthy performed at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 25th in front of nearly 10,000 to benefit pediatric brain cancer. The two performers donated their appearance to benefit the Team Jack Foundation, a local non-profit that raises funds for the disease.

Larry the Cable Guy, originally scheduled to make a solo appearance, surprised his native Nebraska crowd by inviting his good friend Jeff Foxworthy to join him for the performance.  Foxworthy’s appearance was kept a secret up until he came on stage.  In introducing Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy told the Lincoln crowd that his opener had only done four to five shows and he was kind of “nervous.”  He then introduced Foxworthy to a cheering crowd.

Larry the Cable Guy and Foxworthy entertained the Nebraska crowd, first with solo shows and then together with a “Blue Collar Comedy Show” type question and answer, for over two hours.  The show ended with an emotional “Thank you” from the founders of the Team Jack Foundation and a “pass the hat” for research across the arena.

The event raised nearly $200,000 for pediatric brain cancer research. It was a very impactful night in the fight against pediatric brain cancer.
