By now everyone is familiar with Husker fanatic Jack Hoffman. His touchdown forever frozen in our memories.

Today more than 100 people came out for a golf tournament to support the Team Jack Foundation. An event that his family hopes will bring them one step closer to finding a cure for pediatric brain cancer.

“Jack didn’t score a touchdown for the red team or the white team or the huskers he scored a touchdown for pediatric brain cancer," said Jack's father, Andy Hoffman.

9 year old Jack Hoffman has been fighting an uphill battle with brain cancer.

“Yesterday was 3 years ago that I had my second surgery," said Jack Hoffman.

But Jack has never let the tough times get him down.

“He’s a kid who just wants to have fun," said Curt Tomasevicz, former Husker and Olympic Gold Medalist.

And that’s why the Husker super fan has inspired people across the country.

Golfers are putting all for a good cause, and with each swing Team Jack hopes to raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer.

“We thought this would be a great opportunity to bring some huskers back to Jack's hometown and it’s not just a fundraiser but really as a thank you to our community," said Andy.
