Team Jack Radiothon Raises Thousands of Dollars for Pediatric Cancer Research

No matter where he goes, Jack Hoffman's always ready to take a stand against pediatric brain cancer.

Thursday, he brought smiles and laughter to the capital city as the Team Jack Foundation held its second annual radiothon. 

"We're raising money," Jack said. "So kids won't have to have surgery."

Jack knows first hand what those hospital visits are like. Recently, he learned his cancer had returned, but he knows he has a strong support system in Team Jack.

The foundation has come a long way in the fight against childhood cancer. $1.7 million has been raised for research.

"That speaks volumes about the state of Nebraska," Jack's dad, Andy, said. "There's really no place like Nebraska."

That was proven again Thursday as more than $60,000 was raised through the radiothon. About 20 stations across the state participated, including KLIN News Talk Radio.
